This innovative tool, named “Twitter Hiring”, will enable job listings to be displayed below a company’s Twitter bio. Interested candidates will be redirected to the company’s website for more information and the application submission process.
To further facilitate this process, Twitter has allegedly created a dedicated account with the username @TwitterHiring. Despite being an affiliate account, no posts have been made on it yet.
Empowering Verified Companies to Showcase Job Openings
The discovery of “Twitter Hiring” was credited to Nima Owji, an app researcher, who shared an image that you can see in his tweet above detailing its function on the platform. The microblogging site appears to be marketing this feature to verified companies, offering them a unique opportunity to attract potential candidates for their job openings.
Each verified firm can add up to five job posts to their Twitter profile, provided they connect a supported applicant tracking system or XML feed to seamlessly add their jobs to the social media platform. Interestingly, in May, Elon Musk hinted at the possibility of introducing job listings on Twitter in response to a user suggesting implementing dating features instead.
WorkWeek, a content creation company, has already started using the new feature through Twitter. Its CEO, Adam Ryan, humorously tweeted a screenshot of the job listings, taking a playful jab at Mark Zuckerberg’s Twitter competitor, Threads.
