Who Is Nudrat Naeem and What does she do?
My name is Nudrat Naeem, a creative Graphic Designer from Lahore, Pakistan. Recently I completed my 1st order on Fiverr after struggling for 2 years worth $25. So, I thought let’s share my journey with people who are willing to start earning online.
Since childhood, I have had a keen interest in drawing and sketching but my parents always consider it a waste of time and asked me to focus on my studies so I never got a chance to learn or enhance my skills. I did my master’s in economics from a reputed university but I never had an interest in this field so I stay jobless for almost 6-years.
How and where did Nudrat learn Freelancing?
I always wonder how these people earn online. In 2019, Because of one of my friends I get to know about the DigiSkills platform. I enrolled myself in a Graphic Designing course and download all the required software. There I learn very basic knowledge about freelancing and designing.
After completing the 3-month course I made an account on the online earning platform, Fiverr. But as a newbie, I have no knowledge about this platform so earned nothing. I daily use adobe software and draw random stuff.
In December 2021, I enrolled in the Erozgar program and that was the best decision of my life as I learned whatever is required to start earning. They not only teach us graphic designing but also push us to start working on different platforms.
In 2020, I saw an advertisement for PSDF courses. I joined these free courses and they also give you a reward of Rs. 6,000/- if you complete the course along with a certificate. I also enrolled in GRAPHICS DESIGN SPECIALIZATION and completed my 3-month course from Coursera.
This course built confidence in me and I start playing with colors, typography, and shapes.
Where did Nudrat Naeem create her Freelance startup?
I created my first gig in January 2022 on Fiverr and Completed my 1st Order within a month. I earned $25 worth of projects of drawing 50 vector logos this price seems too blowing but for me, it’s a huge amount because I earned it by working hard and staying consistent with my skills.
I used to visit different Facebook groups and see what people are doing with software. I try to draw vector portraits daily but they turn out to be so scary as I was a newbie. I watch YouTube tutorials and keep on practicing.
